So, I know I’ve been telling you for months that the B.A.T Book would be making an appearance in Kindergarten.  Well, many months after that promise, IT IS FINALLY done!

Pull out the trumpets.  Sound the horns.

The B.A.T Book for Kinders has arrived!

B.A.T. stands for Brain’s Always Thinking! Using this book, your students can complete a variety of fun & appealing activities as they finish their work or can sneak in a few minutes of Free Time! The goal of the B.A.T. Book is to be an independent activity which supports learning.

For each child, you’ll photocopy the pages back to back, add the cover of your choice and bind it all together. Students keep their B.A.T. Book inside their own desks so it’s always ready to go! You can choose the cover that best suits your needs.

Kids can track their progress in their B.A.T. Book with the Progress Page
in the front of their books.

Simple directions for each activity make it easy for students to complete on their own.
For the Kinder version, I added visual directions.  So, even if your students can’t read all of the directions, they can see the pencil & crayon icon and get an idea!

Now, in other news this week, we wrapped up our Science unit on weather {thank goodness – I’m not a huge Science person!} We chatted about the 4 Seasons and changing weather and made some fun lil’ trees for the four seasons.

Click the picture to snag the trees for yourself!

It’s beginning to look a lot like St. Patty’s Day in my room! If you’ve followed my blog for a while, you may know that it’s my absolute favorite day of the year! So, I’m doin’ up my classroom with some fun stuff!

We also did a little craftivity.  This little lady didn’t quite follow the sample, but I thought her answer was so good, I let it slide!

Both of those goodies came from my Kiss Me, I’m Irish Wee Unit!

We also made these super cute Fraction Leprechauns from Lisa over at Growing Firsties!

They make me cheery to look at!

Slainte!

  1. My favorite part of March is spring. I am ready to get rid of the snow and to see the sun shining again. Love this pack! I have the first grade one and we use it daily. wvuteachchick at yahoo dot com

  2. My favorite part of March is getting a little vacation for Mardi Gras break. Of course, I hate Mardi Gras, but I'm content to hide from it!
Your activities are so cute. I *almost* miss the 3 years I spent teaching first grade. Just ALMOST!

  3. My favorite part of March is knowing that when this month is over I get to see you! What a great post. So excited for the K BAT book! Love the tree, pots of gold, rainbows and leprechauns. You really got it done this week!

  4. Good Morning!
My favorite part of March is celebrating Dr. Seuss’ birthday!
We love listening to all the great books and then finding them in the library to take home.
We also have our great military buddy readers from the nearby base come and read to us while we eat green eggs and ham!
