We’re focusing a ton on writing this month! I’m also trying to mixup what we’ve got goin’ on in our Daily 5 Work on Writing goodies. So, I’ve introduced Class Journals to the kids.
To make, I just bought some cute composition books at Walmart.
Then, I attached the label to the front.
The kids are allowed to take the journals to their spots and write about the topic on the front of the book. They are supposed to write their name and date {but that doesn’t always happen!}
I keep all of the class journals in a basket at our Daily 5 bookshelf.
They’re free to grab any journal at any time!
I love to peek in the journals from time to time to see what they’ve been up to!

These are radical Molly. I've been meaning to do this for ages! Thanks for doing the grunt work for me =)

Aw, these are sweet! Thank you for sharing – love things I can print, adhere, and start rockin' in the classroom. 🙂
Your labels are awesome. We have class journals too – they really help students get motivated to write since their classmates will be reading them too : )
Linked up my sweet friend! 🙂 Cute journal idea too!! 🙂
Thank you so much! This is something I have been wanting to start, but I have no artistic skills what-so-ever.
My kiddos love writing in their class journals and reading them too!
