To mix up our short vowel practice, we were Super Vowel Sleuths this week! My awesome team partner Lisa shared this idea and I whipped up this FREEBIE to share with you!
Together, we generated a list of short e words. Then, the students selected one of those words {or any other short e word they wanted to use}
They wrote 3 clues about this short vowel word. Inside, they drew a picture of their mystery word.
It was a nice change to our normal vowel practice and I was able to slip in some writing, too!
The kids had a blast walking around the classroom sharing their clues and making guesses at the mystery words!
To liven up our classroom even more for Halloween, we watercolored Witch’s Feet. Of course Art Projects for Kids has the cutest {and easiest directions} for kid art.
To kick it up a notch, we created our own witch brew recipes.

The That’s a Wrap Bundle is finally complete! I didn’t leave my house last Saturday and finished up November Necessities!
It has a mix of Math and Language Arts activities to keep your kiddos busy for the month!
My project for this weekend is the November B.A.T. Book! Stay tuned – I plan to finish it up SOON!

I love, love, love those art projects! You know I love art! Seriously, they turned out great and such an awesome idea to have the kids create their own witch's brew. Pinning this idea for sure!
