You’re One Smart Cookie!

I am SO excited to share Smart Cookie Math! Our district uses Everyday Math and there is a HUGE hole in the program’s basic facts component.

Are your students struggling to master their basic math facts? Check out Smart Cookie Math. It's a highly-motivating sequential facts program.

Enter Smart Cookie Math! A fun & motivational program to get those basic facts mastered!

This sequential program takes the students through 30-problem basic math fact tests, one fact family at time.  By the end of the program, they will master their facts!
Keep track of student progress with this yummy display!
Students are rewarded for successful completion of a level with a “cookie”
The unit includes several versions of the cookie jars {big, small, and black & white} and a variety of options for cookies.  One option is to buy circle labels {either big or small} and print for easy use! Circle punches are a simple way to cut these cookies as well. Fun cookie shaped letters are also included for a fun bulletin board display!
For the black & white version, students color their progress as they pass!

All materials can be easily organized in a plastic file box.

I’ve included labels that will make finding levels easy for the kids.
You can keep track of students’ levels with the progress chart.
And reward their knowledge with an award for completion!
But, wait! I haven’t shared the best part!

What I am MOST excited about with Smart Cookie Math is there is now an app to complement the in-class program! So now when parents say, “How can I help Johnny practice these facts?” You can {excitedly!} answer, “Well, using the Smart Cookie App, of course!”

You can read more about the app {here}
Someone recently asked me if I would consider adding a +0 and -0 option in Smart Cookie Math.   If you’d like to add these two levels to your classroom, you can snag a copy {here}

Please note that these levels are not included in the Smart Cookie Math program available on TpT or in the Smart Cookie App.

10 Pin Math

Hey everyone! Long post, but hopefully worth it by the end! There are tons of great math ideas!
I’m linking up with Ashley again for her weekly 10 Pin Linky.
Check out my Top 10 Math Pins!
These are such an awesome resource for Common Core.  Simply download, print and assemble.  Super practical (and grade specific) examples of applying the common core standards.  Even better…they’re free!
How cute are these?
3. Math About Me {freebie!}
Super fun project for Back to School! We all know how much kids love sharing about themselves!
I’m always looking for ways to update my own Math Games Galore. Amanda shares some fabulous games to add! Click {here} to check out a few of my free games!
I’m always on the lookout for meaningful math games for our computer time.  This site suggests a ton of games I’ve never heard of!
Does anyone else feel like they’re teaching Greek when teaching time? Our Math program makes this concept even more difficult to teach! Hopefully this helpful anchor chart will make it a tad easier to grasp!
I am really bad at doing anything that must be done daily.  BUT, I love this freebie from 2nd Grade Stuff! Maybe I’ll photocopy a giant stack & use them as I ‘remember’ {i.e. need a time filler!}
Deirdre has created the cutest way to hammer home the idea of the equal sign!
Just plain fun!
We sing these fun songs all the time in class!
